Andrew Schwab
Founder & CEO
Platform Government Strategies was founded by Andrew Schwab, a national health policy and advocacy leader with more than 20 years of experience across the U.S. Senate, state government, major healthcare organizations and trade associations, and federal health policy advocacy leadership roles.
Andrew previously served as Vice President and Head of Government Affairs at Oak Street Health, where he built the company’s first government affairs function and helped guide policy strategy up to and through the company’s $10.6 billion acquisition by CVS Health. He has also held senior advocacy and policy roles at AARP, the Alliance of Community Health Plans, and United States of Care, where he advanced federal health policy priorities across Medicare, Medicare Advantage, CMMI, value-based care, and the ACA insurance markets.
He founded Platform Government Strategies to help healthcare organizations go beyond the usual backslapping and meeting request strategies to help them actually navigate federal policy, strengthen advocacy strategy, and advance their priorities with policymakers.
